i wear a 34DD in VS bras (or 32DDD). My breasts are on the larger side but my frame is smaller (waist 27-30 range). I was nervous on whether or not to go with what fits my top half or my frame, i decided to size down to an XS instead of a S and imm so happy i did! It snatches me up and the girls are secured! The material does have a little stretch to it so that really helped. I would say go with what fits your frame for the most part!
