Ribbed and Soft and a good amount of form-fitting. The picture doesn't do the dress justice. The dress is a cute go-to dress that can be worn up or down. I got it for a cruise so I can have something just to throw on if I'm not dressing up for anything and just want to be comfy, and it delivered. It's so soft and slightly thick, like velvety ribbed cotton. The split comes to about my knee, and I am 5 5' 260 pounds, 44g boobs and 52 bust, 50 hips, 44 waist. I have a belly, and this still looks good with the 2x. It wasn't tight but just smooth. The straps give the tank top look and it looks great on the skin with the placement. The dress came to my ankles and didn't cover my feet just like the model.
