I wish it had straps because it’s does not stay up. if your looking for straps to attach to it amazon has “no sew” straps to attach to it which I’m purchasing because the piece is cute. I ordered my normal size and a large based off reviews and the large seemed to big for me. I think it depends on your shape. there is not much stretch so that’s where it can run small
