I have always worn an 8 or an 8 wide with shoes and these shoes fit perfectly width wise but they were too long for my feet so I had to return them and size down but they were super cute and comfy with the correct size

It's not larger than your normal size. It's just made for a wide foot. You wouldn't know unless you read the product description. Other than that it fits ok and the material isn't cheap.
