I used the measurements chart and the description that said the jeans had medium stretch, my measurements are 48-40-49 198lb and I went with the 20p for a baggy fit and they were to loose and had more room in the hips and legs than I expected, plus they are a true wide with leg. I will need to reorder a smaller size, I'll probably do best with a size 18p, because a 16p will most likely not give enough room for my mom pouch and the waistline. The pants are as photographed and very beautiful in detail. They kida remind me of an old wallpaper that my grandparents had in the early 70's,lol. I'd say get your regular size. or up one for a loose fit.

The pants are very cute… not much stretch, they fit true to size all over except for the waist area. I would size up just 1 size. I typically wear a size 3 in all FN jeans but this waistband seems to be like a size 1.
