I would get it if I were you

Usual Size: S
I'm usually a size small but i got a 1X because that's all there was left and I wanted that extra fabric to drape on my body and romanticize the look and it did just that! The fabric is very soft, very stretchy, very comfortable and flowy. Would this keep you warm in 40 degree weather on its own, no, layered? Maybe. It's a good spring time, summer night, early fall, type sweater.
