Based on the other reviews, I figured I could get away with a large; unfortunately, that was not the case. If you have any bum at all, you definitely want to size up. It barely got over my bum (which isn't that large lol) and was super tight and uncomfortable - definitely not wearable as is. I'll be requesting an XL or exchanging for a different skirt. The material overall feels nice and solid but you definitely want to wear shorts underneath.
