I bought this in a 'small' for my 12yr old. She's 5'3" and 118lbs - very slender and her waist 25 inches. If you are bigger than those measurement or do not like your clothing fitting too close, go up a size - there is very little stretch to the dress and the bottom fits close, almost like a pencil skirt - it fits her below the knees. You will require proper seamless underwear with this dress as it is semi-translucent depending on the angle and very thin. This fits her VERY close. However, it is an extremely beautiful dress and the color is vibrant. She thinks that it's cool that she can zip it all the way up and cover her face, she's silly and goofy. This was a great buy!
